BRAVO.. I.C.C

yeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy....cheers!!! Now this is the first thing in years that has cheered us out...with I.C.C finally deciding to discourage the "Political appointment" in Cricket Boards ,has taken the right step in right direction.I dont know about others but for Pakistanis this is going to be huge...Hit by terrorism and Tired of seeing incompetent Idiots  like Ijaz Butt hanging over our heads for past decade, we are all happy to hear the news..we hope our cricket survives now...after all its Sub-Continent...Cricket is the  first Love of people here:-)

The second news which caught  my attention today was "The Srilinkin Board gets dissolved over Corruption Charges" ...sounds good and inspiring to me..if they can do it..why not us? A lot has been said and written about Corruption already but it seems its not enough yet...with being the love of people..at-least cricket should be left alone...Not to mention how sentimental people are about it in this part of the region...You should be honest with your passions if not with anything else...Like many other places, we have this menace striking almost every aspect of society...The chairmanship of Cricket Board is a matter of President to decide, and the privilege is misused badly..so badly that for the past ten years, it has hit our cricket in every possible manner.

The Chairman usually is a close friend of the President , being the powerful man that he is, he does not want anyone to go against him...we have lost players like Muhammad Yousaf, Younis khan, Abdul Razzaq and now have almost lost AFRIDI too just because of mishandling on the part of the Board..Just because  this one man, the chairman, the close friend of the president wants to have his way and cannot tolerate anything coming in his way. What a chaos!

The clumsy puppet (read it Ijaz Butt here) has caused us defamation in case of Muhammad Amir and others...It would not have been that bad if only they had taken the right step at the right time...There has been a very clear public demand to get the man dismissed for some time now...there is even this Public Campaign on FACEBOOK demanding to remove Ijaz Butt..But WHO CARES???!  Mind you , he is a dear one of the president ..How Dare you to demand his removal..this was the non-verbal message communicated from the Government over the issue.

What ought to have been their action is taken by I.C.C now..we are desperately waiting for the finalization of this rule...Bravo I.C.C..you guys have finally done something worth appreciating..Lets hope to get our Cricket revived again, Let's hope to see International Cricket back in Pakistan..Lets hope to have Afridi back again:-)

  1. In the context its SriLanka not Siri :P And, even the BCCI is full of political jeopardize and we have lost players like Dada aka Bengal Tiger aka Saurav Ganguly and Ajay Jadeja.

  4. I am not aware of the latest news on cricket but I may add as follows:
Afridi is a great player..........and the whole of Pakistani nation want him --- playing again for Pakistan.
Though, he has done some mistakes in the past, his services for the Pakistani team are far more appreciable.
He openly apologised and paid the entire fine imposed on him. And he got his NOC too. He is clean again like a new born.
As the corruption, at many levels, is booming in Pakistan, “cricket is no immune.”
Nevertheless, there is “ONE TERRIBLE THING” in our country, who is really enjoying immunity, and that of course, is “HIS HIGHNESS ZORDARI jee.”
When someone knows all the tricks of foul play, it’s kind of really difficult to stop the overflow of dirty flow. (FAVOURITISM stinks)
    Corruption is the word----here.

  10. but do you think its really going to make any difference????? well, i doubt....

see, they will make an arrangement to have someone there who may not be a politician but will work for them as a puppet.....what you say????

  11. Isolation game from politics was a wise move. How successful, that is something time would tell. But yes, I think Afridi had more fans here in India than critics. We still believe it was him who steered an unexperienced young squad into the semis of the world cup like a one man army.

    Cheers,

  12. @irfannuddin....yes we are hopeful it will make a differecne...you see the other countries who dont have the political appointment have a certain procedure to elect chairman..we are hoping to have the same here...a commmittee consisting on ex.cricketers can decide better then political people...only a cricketer can understand team's issues..
